Southeast of Navarra extends the Natural Park of the Bardenas, a unique semi-desert landscape of 42,500 acres, after a barren and inhospitable appearance, hides some natural values, there are three nature reserves in it.

The water, limestone and clay have carved spectacular shapes you into a world of almost lunar appearance by gullies, lonely hills, flat plateaus.

Their whimsical shapes and unsettling aridity inspired painters and writers, and was once the hideout of bandits and other legendary characters.

It has also been the scene of television commercials and films such as Airbag, Mutant Action, Pride and Passion and The World Is Not Enough.

The Plano, cropland characterized by mild elevations
The Bardena Blanca, the most photographed and defined by head erosion, gullies and dry steppe aspect. At its bottom there is a firing range that explains the flight of military aircraft
The Bardena Negra, where the ground is obscured only giving way to Aleppo pine forests of the area along with scrub.
Nature Reserves
Eguaras Vedado, an oasis north of the territory which preserves the ruins of the castle Peñaflor.
Rincón del Bu (Bardena White) of 460 hectares, whose cut was reared owl.
Falls Nature Reserve of the Negra (Black Bardena), which occupies 1926 hectares and has slopes of 270 meters.
Fauna and Flora
Eagles, vultures, owls, geese, foxes, wild cats, genets, amphibians and reptiles will accompany you on this vast area of scrub, rosemary, sisallares, salt and esparto grass, where temperatures are extreme.

Bandoleros and Legends
